/shop opens the official shop, with 12 categories and over 950 items. Sell what you farm and buy whatever you're missing. It's the most direct way to make money, and there's no hourly cap.

Some materials (raw iron and raw gold, their ores, and raw copper) can only be sold, not bought, to prevent smelting loops that would break the economy.

/ah opens the auction house, where players sell items to each other. It's the channel for rare, enchanted or fishing items — anything that isn't in the official shop.

Items you list expire after 7 days if they don't sell; you can recover them from the expired tab. How many items you can have listed at once depends on your rank:

03 Setting up your own chest shop Any player can set up a shop by placing a chest and putting a price on it.

Any player can set up a shop by placing a chest and putting a price on it. Other players buy or sell by interacting directly with the chest, even while you're offline.

How to set one up:

  1. Place a chest on your plot or in your protected area.
  2. Look at the chest and create the shop, choosing whether you're buying or selling and at what price.
  3. Fill the chest with stock (to sell) or leave room in it (to buy).

Conditions:

  • Creating a shop costs $500.
  • Every sale pays a 3% tax on the price, deducted from the seller.
  • There's no cost for keeping the shop open.

Chest shops work great in your protected area or in your clan's market. Protect the area first so nobody can break your chests.

04 Trading with the spawn NPCs At spawn there are characters you can trade with by right-clicking : each one opens a trade menu with gear and items you won't find in the regular shop, usually in exchange for emeralds or resources.

The Deeplands have their own currency, the Sculk Coin, earned by hunting Sculk creatures and spent on enchanted books beyond the normal cap (Protection VI, Sharpness VII, Power VII…).

How to get Sculk Coins:

  1. Kill Sculk creatures and collect their remains: Sculk Tooth, Spike, Bone, Eye and Throat.
  2. Trade them with the Sculk merchant: every 16 remains of the same type → 1 Sculk Flesh.
  3. Turn flesh into currency: 2 Sculk Flesh → 1 Sculk Coin.

With Sculk Flesh you can also craft a Sculk Soul (1 Heart + 1 Tendril) and an Echo Plating (9 Sculk Flesh).

What to spend it on — the Deeplands Merchant:

  • 16 Sculk Coins → 1 enchanted book at tier I: 12 enchants (Protection V, Sharpness VI, Power VI, Efficiency VI, Smite VI, Fortune IV, Looting IV, Unbreaking IV, Feather Falling V, and blast, projectile and fire protection at level V).
  • The Combiner upgrades them: 2 matching tier I books → 1 tier II book (Protection VI, Sharpness VII, Power VII…), which go beyond the game's normal enchantment cap.
